1. Intensive Care Unit
Jessie McPherson Private Hospital has 3 licensed Intensive Care beds located within the Level 3 Intensive Care Unit at Southern Health's Monash Medical Centre. These are quarantined for the exclusive use of Jessie McPherson Private Hospital patients.
2. High Dependency Unit
Incorporated in the cardiac care ward is a 4 bed High Dependency Unit allowing full patient monitoring inclusive of invasive pressure monitoring. This unit cares for Day 1 post Cardiac Surgery patients and patients immediately post Cath Lab procedures.
There are 4 bed High Dependency Units within the Gatrosciences and Neurosciences ward. These are for close observation of patients not requiring continuous monitoring.
3. Cardiac Cath Lab
A third Cath Lab has been commissioned in March and has now increased access for private patients and decreased waiting times. The Cardiac Care Unit quarantines a bed for the exclusive use of the emergency cardiology patient ensuring an efficient patient flow model.
4. Endoscopy
The endoscopy suite provides access to private patients for all endoscopic procedures from simple day cases to complex procedures.
5. Special care Nursery
A Low-Level 2 Special Care Nursery is incorporated in the Maternity ward. This nursery accommodates unwell and premature babies over 33 weeks requiring phototherapy, oxygen therapy, IV therapy and nasogastric feeding. The Special Care Nursery is serviced by private Paediatricians who provide 24hours day coverage.
6. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
There is also direct access to the Level 5 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for more intensive treatment.
